REIMAGINing our dreams..
I was perusing a Facebook group recently, and the host asked a simple question: What were your dreams as a child? I answered… and then I went back and read my response. That’s when curiosity hit me. Why did I think the way I did back then? What was shaping those dreams?
I realized that several of my childhood dreams — the things I imagined for my life — were really dreams meant to validate me. Dreams that made me feel “good enough.” Gaining that clarity helped me recognize where I might still be moving in that same energy today. It showed me what’s been quietly running my life in the background.
But I also saw something beautiful inside those early dreams: possibilities. A belief in myself that trauma almost took from me. Some of my reflections even made me smile.
If you’re anything like me, you have dreams that have been deferred. Dreams you tucked away because life got loud, heavy, or complicated. But don’t give up. We have about 45 days left in 2025, and this is a perfect moment to reset.
Let’s be honest with ourselves. Do we still think about the dreams we once had — as children or adults? Are they truly our dreams or someone else’s? Do we still want them? And if so, is it the dream that needs to change, or simply the path we take to reach it?
And if we don’t want those old dreams anymore, then what do we want now?
Are we carrying guilt or shame for “failing,” especially when the dream wasn’t even ours to begin with? It is not too early to shift, and it is never too late to pivot.
Have you started setting your intentions for 2026? Whatever you desire, let it light up your soul. Take time to imagine something new or reimagine something you’ve always wanted in a way that honors the person you are today. See yourself receiving the biggest and the best. You deserve it.
I want to encourage you to daydream. Daydream vividly. Daydream consistently. Daydream with clarity. Daydream in a way that adds more detail each time. Feel into your dreams and your possibilities. Embrace your ambition and walk in your purpose. Let’s make 2026 the year of manifestation and reimagination.
Lastly, do you. Don’t imitate anyone else and don’t compare yourself. Every single one of us is needed.
